Theme of the month - october

Thank you to everyone who participated in the crazy WG stories last month. I think we came up with some weird and fun ones. If you're still working on one, don't trash it. Post it when it's finished and bump the old thread if you'd like to. Never too late to post.

But now it's October, so we have to write something Halloween flavored. I'll leave it very open ended. It can be a haunted house or ghost story, something involving a monster, general horror or suspense, even just something about costumes or disguises. Wide open. If you'd like a more specific prompt, you can use, "I never used to believe in curses."

A chapter or two is great, more if the muse takes you.

If you're going to participate, please post in the thread and link to the story so people can read it and give feedback. Please keep critiques constructive, but please do critique! You all write amazing stuff and it's important to be recognized.

If you feel stuck and want to brainstorm, feel free to use the thread to chat.

The rules of the event are the same as always:

1) In addition to being about weight gain or body positivity, stay on the monthly theme, which should be easy because the topics will be very wide and open to interpretation.
2) Try to stick to something under 5,000 words, but if the muse overtakes you, that's great, too!
3) Post in the thread! Let us know if you're playing, have questions, want to chat, and when you have a story to share. Post a link!
4) Just like with all the stories on this site, zero characterizations of minors are allowed. Hate and bigotry have no place in this event.
5) Feedback by authors and readers is very welcome, but keep it constructive. All different skill levels of writers are encouraged to participate, so I ask everyone to be helpful and encouraging. If you've never given (or received) constructive criticism for creative writing before, here's a short essay that could be helpful: www.marykole.com/constructive-criticism

Happy writing!

Shameless plug: I have a premium horror story running this month called Deep Cravings

fantasyfeeder.com/weight-gain-stories/view/title/deep+cravings/author/Letters+And+Numbers

A vacation in paradise starts out bad, when Theo’s girlfriend cheats on him with his best friend, but only gets worse as he’s abducted by some characters with a very strange look about them. If you like Lovecraft mythos and Shadow Over Innsmouth, give it a try!

Any other Theme Club regulars, old and new, feel free to plug what you’re working on! We’re here to support each other!

I’ve got a haunted house story here!
fantasyfeeder.com/weight-gain-stories/view/title/23+black+star+lane/author/Battybattybattybat

It’s a New England based ghost story with a little Lovecraft inspiration. The feeding and romance are a refuge from the haunting and creepy stuff. I hope folks enjoy the contrast between those two.

It’s one of the spookiest stories on the site, at least so far. Can’t wait to see what happens next. The romance is fun too.

Happy halloween, everyone! I just wrapped up my horror story, so if anyone was reading it, I hope you enjoyed. I have another short I worked on, but I haven't figured out how to end it. If I can put some time into it today I might share that as well.

If anyone else had a Halloween story, throw it up and link to it here!
